Happy Birthday Nephew

A very Happy Birthday to my Nephew.

Well tomorrow it's my Nephew's birthday and I made him a card.

I had so much fun making this card for him.

The last time we went to him and his wife and children the weather was so warm and nice

that they decided that it would be a great day to have a BBQ all together.

So they all set up the BBQ and then the sky went dark and we got rain... so we sheltered under the partytent and under the sunscreen and we camped out there, close to each other...

My nephew running out to the BBQ to make the dinner.

We had a great time and so much fun.

So here is what I made for him for his birthday..

How to make your own flower

How to make your own flower.

Hi, Welcome back to my blog here. Today I want to show you how to make you own flowers for a card or any other project.

I have to be honest and tell you that it is a long time ago that I ran into an website where this technique was shown and were I found the template.

So let's get started with this tutorial.

Things you need:

* the template and cut the petal 12 times

* scissors

* stampin ink or pencils or markers

* little spoon

* soft embossing mat

* color pencil or copic marker

* glue

* pen

* if you want you can use glimmermist

When spring comes I always have the urge to get me some new summer outfit. And since I have an almost 19 year old DD we both have that same feeling.

Inspiration Challenge

Inspiration Challenge at

Cowgirl Sunday Stampen Challenge

There is so much going to happen on our Cowgirl Sunday Stamp'en Ranch.


I've been asked to become 1 of the 2 Head DT leaders of the Cowgirls Up Stamps.
And I agreed to that. So since thurday Rachel and I are working together with CJ.
Last days we worked very hard on a lot of changes on the blog and preparing a ton of fun
stuff for you all. 
And while doing that the challenge blog even reached the 100 followers!!!!
So CJ is working hard to make a freebie for all the followers over there.

This time we ask you to get inspired by this 
Wonderfull Quilt. We got permission of the lovely lady who made this FABULOUS Quilt to use it on our blogs and make a challenge with it.

Don't you love these colors and all the stiching that is on it. I think this is a real piece of art.

Well since I never made a quilt before this really was a challenge for me and this is how this

wonderful quilt inspired me.

The needle and pins are stamps with silver pen and stickles and pearls on them.

The image is colored with copics and the umbrella's are printed on dp and colored again and 3d on the image

So it's almost 4th of July

This card I made just for fun and to find my mojo back. I have this image for ages and wanted to color her is a different tone than i useally do. And since I bought DP with orange tones in it I decided to use that color in this image. And I have to say... I think I'm going to like orange...

R.I.P

R.I.P.

Baloo

Today is a really sad day for us. April this year we went to look for a cat at the Animal Shelter.

We fell in love  with Baloo. He's 7 year old and he loves to lie on my lap and purrs all the time.

So we took him home not knowing what the future would bring us.

Well it became a very short future. It appears that he had cancer in his bones in his head. And yesterday we saw that it is time to let him go. His spirit is gone and he's just lying on my bed and not interested in anything anymore.

So after a long and good talk with the vet we made the decision that he will be put to sleep at 10 AM today.

My heart is breaking and I will miss him so much. No more companionship on my lap, no more cat at my legs and the best place in my bed at night.

But I'm so glad that his last months on earth were with us and that he enjoyed is a lot.

HOORAYYYY

My son graduated today!!

This afternoon at 4 :00 PM we finally got the call from school that my son has past his finals!!!

This means that he can go to college now. We are so proud. We bought him a Big Cake and will celebrate the rest of the day with family and Friends.

The other great thing is that yesterday he got approval at for his internship at a Bakery/Pastry store. So he's ready for his new school.

Yes, I also can't believe it... but the weekend is over and it's another Marvelous Monday at

Shelly's Images  blog.

I took a dive into my stash cause I remebered I had some great papers to go with this image. And lucky me did find this block with dp from K& Company. I colored the Digital Stamp with copics and alterd some board. The card itself is made from board that i teared up and distressed with ink. The ribbon came from a jeans label from the new jeans of my DS.
