I'm writing this post and preshedule this post. When all went to plan I've had my surgery on my bone tumor yesterday. I hope to come home today and then the 6 weeks of recovery and not move my leg will begin.

Knowing this in advance I've been working ahead a lot... so you wouldn't miss out the review of the All That Scraps stamps of January!

Review on new stamps All That Scraps

It's time to remind you all that there are brand images, sentiments and CC cutters in store at All That Scraps!

I made this card with fantastic new CC Cutters dies and CC Design Party Time sentimentsTo show you all that you can make a fabulous birthday card with them too!

The cupcakes are cut out with CC Cutters Cupcake die. The little baskets are made from The Scrapcake papers: Spring garden.

The Cupcake is cut out white papers and colored with Copic Markers. In this I was inspired by my girlfriend Amy from Sweet November. She did some awesome coloring on her cupcake Josie.

The text stamp is from C.C. Designs Party time logo's and cut out with matching CC Cutters Circle Logo die.

GDT call Digi Bells

Oh there is this fantastic GDT call at Digi Bells!!! Since I adore the images of Elisabeth Bell I just have to give this call a chance. I'm so excited since their team makes the most beautiful cards and projects with the stamps. But after a long talk to myself and some pep talk from my best friend I decided to give it a chance and make a card for it.

The stamp Tail of Icecream is one of my favorites.. Since I have my assistance dog Sjors.. I completly see and understand this image! This is how it is.. and the text is just how I feel about my dog! He brings me love and happines and opens the world again for me!

This card is in honor of him and for the GDT call.

I used the stamp "Tail of Icecream by Elisabeth Bell

This time I used my pencils to color the image.

I made the background clouds with several colors of Distress ink and

stamped some swirls at the edges to complete the image.

Now I will keep my fingers crossed and hope I get a chance!

Uitdaging ARTSpecially en GDT Scrapdelight.

Goodmorning to you all, Today this post is in Dutch since it concercs a Dutch Challenge... please use google translate if you want to know more!

Goedemorgen weer,

Mijn leven met Sjors wordt steeds mooier! Iedere dag blijkt weer hoeveel meer hij voor me gaat betekenen en hoe goed hij alles leert hier thuis!

Ik zal een kleine anekdote geven over hoe het nou gaat als zo'n hulphond als Sjors bij je thuis komt. Want ja ze zijn dan al helemaal getraind en kunnen werkelijk zoveel. Maar goed... dat konden ze bij het gastgezin en met de trainer daarna in de kennel. Toen Sjors mee naar mijn huis kwam begon het maatwerk toegespitst op mijn woonhuis natuurlijk. En dat is toch even wennen voor allebei.

Maar ik kan zeggen dat we na 4 weken samen aardig een ritme beginnen te vinden en dat mijn "trainen" met en zonder de trainer erbij nu echt leuk begint te worden.

Zo gebeurde het dat ik dinsdag met Sjors aan het oefenen was om de voordeur te openen en sluiten terwijl ik in mijn trippelstoel in de hal zit. Het begint met mee gaan naar de deur en zo steeds de afstand vergroten. En jawel.. binnen hele korte tijd kon Sjors de voordeur openen zonder naar buiten te lopen en lekker even alle geuren op te snuiven. Dus gelijk naar mij en een beloning... dan weer terug gestuurd worden om die deur met een commando te sluiten. En gauw terug voor een beloning...

Ging helemaal geweldig... maar die slimme Sjors... toen hij het voor de vierde keer (3 keer gingen al super) weer moest doen besloot hij ook meteen de deur te sluiten na het openen... want dat was tenslotte wat zijn volgende opdracht zou worden.

Je snapt misschien wel dat ik helemaal gevouwen lag van het lachen. Zo slim en meedenken!!!

Dit is zomaar een kleine anekdote tussen de vele die er zijn.... en deze gebeurtenis heeft me inspiratie gegeven voor deze uitdaging. Ik heb namelijk een schattige foto van Sjors gekregen als Pup met zijn hulphond Les pakje aan....

Ik heb er een layout mee gemaakt... misschien niet veel stempels te zien... maar wel veel distress stains erin gebruikt.

Vandaag begint dan ook weer de eerste uitdaging van het jaar op het blog van ARTSpecially Friends

De opdracht voor deze maand luid als volgt. Maak een kaart, tag, project of wat dan ook geïnspireerd op je huisdier of favoriete dier. Verwerk in het geheel in ieder geval een foto ervan.

Je mag stempelen, achtergronden maken... alles wat je leuk vindt... het hoeft geen layout te zijn zoals deze... laat je eigen inspiratie vloeien en verras ons met iets moois!

Is hij niet helemaal geweldig in zijn opleidings Jack? Zo moe van al het oefenen... even bijtanken af en toe!

Leer dat ik heb geplooid en vervolgens er kant tussen gelijmd.

Op de grote blauwe bloem na zijn deze bloemen allemaal zelf gemaakt.

De uitdaging eindigt maandag zondag 12 februari Nederlandse tijd. De winnaar zal op maandag 13 februari worden bekend gemaakt.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of my dear friends and followers!

I hope you all got by save and are getting back on track with daily life. I know I needed some days to get by. But I survived and stepped into the new year with a ton of trust and believe that it's going to be a great and creative year!

I've found some time this morning to craft. Sjors is lying on his bed and is sleeping... and for the first time in almost 3 weeks I've been crafting... I sure missed it!

GDT voor Scrapdelight.

Deze maand heb ik de eer om GDT te zijn voor Scrapdelight uit Nieuwegein. Ik kreeg een prachtige papierlijn om mee te werken en wist meteen waar ik die voor wilde gaan gebruiken.

Ik heb een canvas gemaakt met een foto die ik heb gemaakt van Hulphond Sjors. Sjors en ik

blijken een goede match te zijn. Sjors heeft vanaf dat hij 8 weken oud is in een pleeggezin

gewoond waar hij is opgeleid en getraind tot hulphond. Zijn pleegmoeder heet Lia en nu na 1,5 jaarmoest zij afstand doen van Sjors aan mij. Ik heb dit canvas voor haar gemaakt als dank voor al haar liefde en moeite die ze in Sjors heeft gestoken.

Ik ben begonnen om het canvas met verschillende kleuren glimmermist in te sprayen en daarna te drogen met de heatgun. Vervolgens het papier uitgezocht en zitten puzzelen hoe ik het wilde gebruiken op het canvas. Wat ik geweldig gaaf vond was die ronde koffievlek op het papier... dus die heeft dan ook een prominente plaats op het canvas gekregen.
Nadat ik de randen van het papier heb bewerkt met de distresser en de Vintage photo inktpad heb ik het papier met lijm op het canvas aangebracht.
In de meltingpot heb ik beeswax gesmolten en die op verschillende plekken op het canvas gegoten en tijdens het drogen wat laten uitlopen en druppelen. Deze oppervlakken bewerkt met perfect pearl blush en pearl. Daarna de verschillende onderdelen op het canvas uitgewerkt en bevestigd.

In de meltingpot heb ik een restje bruine kaars gesmolten, in de First impressions roos mold gegoten en laten uitharden. Vervolgens met perfect pearls Blush en Pearl bewerkt.
Daarna heb ik de beeswax met heatgun verwarmd en lint in de warme beeswax gelegd en nog wat met een kwastje en beeswax bewerkt en afgewerkt met Perfect pearls. en vervolgens de bruine roos bovenaan bevestigd.

De grote en kleine rozen heb ik zelf gemaakt met het prachtige BoBunny papier Etcetera en de Tattered Florals stans van Tim Holtz.

De randen van de rozen heb ik met beeswax ingesmeerd met een kwastje en vervolgens met Perfect pearl goud en bronze bewerkt. De Flourish Swirl onder de bloemen aangebracht en ook met beewwas en perfect pearls bewerkt, de uitgestanste rozenblaadjes zijn bewerkt met vintage photo en in de nerven wat beeswax aangebracht met een kwastje en wat goudkleurig perfect pearl als accent erin aangebracht. Op de Flourish Swirl zitten kleine elementjes die ik heb gemaakt van bruine kaars die ik heb gesmolten in de meltingpot en vervolgens gestort in een First Impressions mold en daarna nog wat glans gegeven met Perfect pearls goud en pearl.

De letters heb van de naam uitgestanst met een oud Quickkutz alfabet Beauty Queen en vervolgens in de meltingpot in de gesmolten utee gedoopt.. laten uitharden en dit nog 3 keer gedaan waardoor er mooie dikke glanzende letters ontstaan en deze in de boog van het Etcetera papier met lijm bevestigd.

Ik heb in de meltingpot een mix van Utee clear, Utee wit en Utee flex gesmolten en daarna heel voorzichtig druppels Distress refill er in gedruppeld en voorzichtig gemengd. De maat van de foto aangegeven op mijn craftsheet en vervolgens een "fotolijstje" los gegoten op het craftsheet en laten drogen. Daarna bewerkt met perfect pearls en op de foto geplakt met lijm.

Ik ben helemaal weg van mijn meltingpot en vond het een feest om hem op verschillende manieren te gebruiken. Het experiment met restjes kaarsvet was zowaar een succes en erg leuk om uit te proberen.

First week at Home

We are home again from a whole heavy weekk of training. You could say that I was trained that week on how to work with Sjors my Assistance Dog!

Trained by Inge Molleman the Dog Trainer... Sjors is walking free with me along the wheelchair.

Time of work and Time to play... running free back to me!

I think you could say he feels save and at home here in our home!

A match made in heaven.

This first week home was a week of getting used to each other and finding our rythm together.

I hope to craft a little again tomorrow and share with you here again.

I thank all the DT teams and girls in it and Owners for their patience and time out they gave me lately!

Preview All That Scraps Day 1

Well... everyone is so busy with their Christmas preperations like cards, food and presents.... but at All That Scraps Christine is allready working a season ahead for you all! How about a little Valentine images in December? Weird... not for me.. this gives me a lot of time to prepare for new fun and get a little breath in all the Christmas showers everywhere on the internet and stores.

So I decided to make a set of the wonderful new Valentine stamps, text stamps and dies available from December 7th HERE

I made this enveloppe by myself to go with a great card (to be shown at the review)

I cut out this form of enveloppe from White Bazzil cardstock.

Stamped corner stamps and the corners of the front and clear embossed them.

Colored the edges of the front with 3 colors of Distress ink.

Challenge #16 at ArtJourney.

Good afternoon to you all!

Today there is a brand new challenge at the blog of Artjourney. I had so much fun in the last challenge that I want to enter in this challenge again. Allthough I didn't win the challenge..my tag was shown and mentioned in the winners post. I'm so proud of that and thank them for it!

This time the theme of the challenge is winter. I've made so many cards with my new stamps from Chocolate Baroque... and I think that this card would apply to the theme winter.

*I used plain white bazzil cardstock. The centerpiece I colored with Brilliance lavender and dried it

well with my heattool.

*Once dry I stamped the middle snowflake and embossed it with WOW snow glitter embossingpowder.

*Then I did the same with the right and left snowflake.

* After that I took my Embossing pen and ruler and made lines to the top of the card and

embossed those with the same embossingpowder.

* I stamped a wonderful text at the bottom of the card en embossed it with the same powder again.

Finally I made a little bow from very dark Lilac ribbon and added little lilac pearls at the top of each embossed thread.

It's very plain en simple... but I love this color and the stamps kept inspiring me to more and more cards.

Well... I think I wrote a hundred times here that time flies!!! And somehow.. it just does.... giggle.

I'm preparing for my week of training with the assistance dog that I'm going to get after that week.

Here is a sneak peak of Sjors.

It's a big pleasure now to know that I will have such a handsome guy at home helping me out with all kind of stuff that I almost can't do myself. Can you believe that he is considering it playing? Amazing what!!!

It took me some time to get used to the fact that I'm going to get a dog.. need to study a lot before I go for training... and when he comes home with me.. I still need to learn a lot.. and he too...

But for now... I'm excited and happy....

Wel pot vol blommen!!!

Excuus voor de de woorden hierboven.... maar wat een vreselijk bericht is er vandaag de lucht in gegaan!!!

Ik ben vanmorgen gebeld door Marga van Hobbystempels... en inmiddels is ook de nieuwsbrief rondgestuurd...

Na veel overwegingen hebben Marga en John besloten de stekker uit de webwinkel Hobbystempels te trekken. En dat vind ik zo erg. Ze hebben een kleine webwinkel met een berg grote diversiteit aan mooie stempels!!!

Wat balen dat dit nu moet gebeuren... twee mensen met zoveel hart en ziel in hun webwinkel....

Ik zal het samenwerken met hun, als design team lid, maar vooral met hun als mens en vrienden heel erg gaan missen.

Hiya ladies..... It's been so hectic last weeks... and all things come together... good and less good news and things.... but that is another story to tell.... today I want to show you a card that I want to enter to a special challenge at ArtJourney blog!

I was so inspired that I just had to get my (new) gear and start making this tag to join the fun over there.. The theme is Nature... and the Design Team made such a beautiful and creative cards... amazing stuff!

After seeing at the KreaDoe and in the ARTSpecially Magazine #13 the beautiful technique with Teykol.. I decided to give that a try!The afternoon sunlight made me choose these colors... and the last rose at the bush at the other side of the street inspired me to give this tag her name...

I know... it's just the beginning of November... but I remember what a rush it was these last two months of the year... needed some extra cards and didn't had them ready! Well I can tell you.. it ain't gonna happen to me this year! LOL... I have plenty ready... but then Christine from All That Scraps made some brand new ones again... so I gave myself the excuse to make more Christmas Cards (so I'm sure I'm not without this year!And they are sooooo cute and fun!

Good day to you all.
Allthough I have a rough week with another bad news from the Oncologist...I try to keep my head up and find peace and happines in my crafting. Then I got the tip from a dear girlfriend that there is a GDT Call from My Favorite Things at Splitcoasters Forum! I just had to jump in and make a card for this. Their prize is huge and the honor even bigger!!! I can't imagine to win this prize... be their GDT and get all that stuff... I think I would pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming.. would give this week a totally different feel! But if I win or not... it was so peaceful and getting back in harmony with myself to work on this card with the wonderful products of MFT!!! That is worth a million too!
Oh and did I mention what the theme is? Well the theme is BLING IT ON!

I love this little cutie that is from Pure Innocence and called Presents for you.

On the clothes I used Stickles Star dust (that don't show that well on the photo)

On the packages I used Stickles Diamond because the give another color of bling.

The flowers are made of Puff Cloud White Felt with the MFT DieNamics Mini Rolled Roses

The little lovely MFT Die-namics Leafy Flourish I cut in half and used together. They're made with Felt Sour Apple and DP.

The image is layerd with foam on the background Oval that I made with the MFT Oval Decorative Doily

Sentiment is from AmyR and around the torned paper I used Star dust Stickles again. Design Papers by Marianne Design Eline's Vintage Christmas Red and Green. Little pearl swirl and loose pearls from my stash.

Well a lot has happened her past two weeks... A ton of birthday's and me stepping down from the Inky Impressions Design Team. I finally was able to cut the knob that was in my head about this... and I finally found my peace again.

Well.... I'm glad that I'm at the good side of the windows right now... The weather is terrible....(oh that was when I made the card and post.... but I resheduled the post so that's not what the weather was like! We had fantastic weather to be honest... giggle)
And after a ton of computer problems (yes on my 4 months old new computer) it finaly is fixed and I can be online and have fun again.
The good part of not having a putar to sit behind is the load of cards that I could make... giggleSounds familiar to you?

TGIF.... again... isn't it great that Friday is coming back? (OMG... it's Thursday today.... sorry for the mistake of early posting... this is one of my senior moments LOL
Well I'm happy with it... because it means that the weekend will arrive soon and will bring plenty more time to play in my craft room!
Today's card is ready for two brand new challenges that are up and ready today!The first challenge is on the wonderful blog of Totally Papercraft Challenge Blog!

As a daughter of a two time breastcancer survivor I'm so aware of the needto keep giving support to those who fought this hard disease... some won... some lost it...and those who stayed behind need our support and care as well.
So dear Mom... this card is dedicated to you!!! A true fighter and survivor!!! Thanks for showing me that you can beat this monster!
So I'm asking you to take out all the pink you have and join us in this warm and caring challenge and show our loved ones, friends, people we know that we care and think of them!!!

Now a week ago I saw a documentary on tv from the The SCAR project... I found their site and was so touched by it! They have this slogan on the site...
Breast Cancer is not a Pink Ribbon....
As my mom survived Breast Cancer twice at a young age... this slogan, these photo's and documentary are so true of what is happening and what it does for the woman who is diagnozed with this horrible cancer! As a daughter of a survivor and lived so close to my mom during those times... I agree with this slogan!It's way beyond that!!!

Needs:

Stamp Deputy Christopher by Inky Impressions

Background stamps

3 or more colors of distress ink in two color range

Ink blending tool, Ink blending foam,

Versamark ink, Archival Jet Black

Embossing powder clear

Tag, Heattool, Craftsheet

Stamp the cute image on the tag with Memento or Archival ink (depending on what you will use to color the image with and stamp the same image on a piece of cardstock and cut is out. This will be your mask.

Then use a Zigg two way glue to glue your mask and let the glue turn from blue to white. This way it’s a removable glue now! Then add the mask on the stamped image.

Of course you can use Masking paper for this as well!

Stamp background stamp on the tag with Versamark ink pad, in this case I used a cloud stamp and a vine stamp. So I stamp each half on the tag!

Leave the mask on the stamped image and emboss with clear embossing powder and heat with heat tool.

With ink blending tool apply the the lightest color of the range over the complete tag. Use circular motions with the blending tool. Start this circulair motion on your craftsheet (or white paper) and during that circling motion sou go on to the tag! This will give you a better result with the inking, and you will not get any stripes on it.…

Repeat these steps with each time a darker ink from the range and leave a little light color open. I used two different colors on this tag… (yes you still leave the mask on the tag!)

Take a piece of cloth and make it damp with a Mini mister.. and go lightly over the tag. This way you take off the color of the embossed part. Now gently remove the mask from the tag and finish of you tag or card.

In this case I used a cute image… but any image can be used for this technique!

Oh we are so lucky here in The Netherlands.... we have a whole week with summer sun and temps that belong to summertime!!! At last we have some.... and that makes the trees and their leaves spectaculair to see... All the shades of green and shades of brown on them.... I just had to play and try to express my feelings on how beautiful it is....And lucky me... this weeks theme at Totally Papercraft Challenge blog is Autumn!!!!And as I work on the blog of ARTSpecially Friends as well I can finally combine my big passion for playing with all kind of techniques and challenges and be able to show more of my "art" cards here on my blog...I sure hope you like it.

Now the basic technique I found in the magazine ARTSpecially magazine # 4 page 8.

Just gave it my own twist...

* I airbrushed the background on bazzil white cardstock with E09,E18,YG95,YG97.

* Worked the background with a Minimister and Copic Blender fluids

* Then stamped with gesso and Poetic leaves and Poetic prints from Hero Art the white leaves.

* Then stamped the same leaves with Adirondack Oregano, Cat's eye Lime pastel and Chesnut Roan and Brillance Pearlesent Poppy.

* Cut out the Tim Holtz tree and used the left over as a stencil and inked it with Tea Dye and Vintage photo.

* Add Gesso to the edges of the cards... when dried I inked them with Vintage photo and Walnut stain.

* Stamped the text that says:

Miracles are so ordinary that if you don't look you don't see them!

* Added some little leaves from my stash.

Today another Christmas card from my hand. This time an unusual stamp for me to choose to work with. I choose for Bugs Ho van Alota stamps. I'm not a big fan of bugs... so choosing this stamp was just for me to work outside my comfortzone. To trigger myself to another level. That is why there are two naughty giggling bees on this card. Combine that with again the great papers of Bo Bunny Blitzen.
At the end I was a little pleased with this card, but making it was not easy! Is that something you reconigze?

Well TGIF again... what a week it has been. My DD moved out last weekend and this week my DS took many days to move over to his sisters room... all those days my house stayed a mess. And having a messy crafting table is something completly different then a messy house!! I can tell you that.So for me it's a big THANK YOU it's over!

Hi there,

At the inspirational blog at Inky Impressions HERE I
showed you how to make your own background with ink and embossing folders, well for today I made another fun tutorial for you to show you, how to make your own background with stamps, ink and embossing powder.

Needs:

Text stamp by Inky Impressions

Background stamp

3 or more colors of distress ink in one color range

Ink blending tool, Ink blending foam

Versamark ink, Archival Jet Black

Embossing powder clear

Tag, Heattool, Craftsheet

Stamp background stamp on the tag with Versamark ink pad, emboss with clear
embossing powder and heat with heat tool.

With ink blending tool apply the the lightest color of the range over the complete tag. Use circular motions with the blending tool. Today is the day that my dear daughter left our home. My little girl grown big.It was yesterday that she was playing with a little stroller and her favorite doll... and then decided to take her for a walk outside. And today she is walking out the door with moving boxes.....Where did I miss the time?? Where did it go?
Anyway... next to all those mixed feelings and little tears there is this huge pride that she is taking the next big step in her life! And that deserves a card! But I needed an image that would suit the occasion...And Mo Manning just has the perfect image for it!

I'm so happy with the theme of this weeks challenge at Totally Papercraft challenge blog.Clean and Simple!
Now there are some masters in that technique in our team.. and I got a chance to make one as well...
The new papers of Authentique are incredibly beautiful! What a pleasure to look at each paperpack... but girls... a trouble choosing one. But there is one pack that caught my eye in an instant... the Glowing. I just had to have this one!And then when you open the paper pack somethimes you find those pieces of paper that don't want to be cut up or covered with other pieces of paper. They are simply to wonderful to do that. And this piece that I used is one of them. So this card is Clean and Simpel!

We had some really fall weather here at the coast of the Netherlands... there is no doubt anymore, fall has began. Broken branches on the ground, grean leaves with brown edges flowing everywhere. And a lots of hasty clouds in the sky. Before you realize it's winter again.Well with all that brand new papers that arrived at Hobbystempels it's no punishment to stay indoors. Last Tuesday my friend Wilma was over and she brought two sets of brand new stamps with her....You can guess what we did the rest of the day?Yep... we chit chatted a lot and even got to make some cards....Here is one of them..

Now don't shoot me for forgetting to write down the name of this stamp set. It contains the teacup and coffe mug and cake and cupecake... I used a mask to stamp the coffemug into the teacup.

The papers behind the cut out stamped images is embossed and colored with a cateye.

Can you believe that September has began today? We hardly had any summer here.... the leafs on the trees had brown edges at the end of August.... And each morning I get up, open the curtains and pray for a sunny day.... well... none..... I felt like the little girl that I used on this card.
After a month of vacation time the fun at the Blog of Hobbystempels starts again today!Marga made a wonderful sketch for you all to make! Here is what I came up with.

This cutie is called "Jill is two" by Mo Manning, a new arrival at Hobbystempels!

You have to admit that she is adorable in her temper!!!

I stamped her on kraft cardstock and colored her with Prisma Color Pencils.

I was amazed by the wonderful and fantastic Christmas Cards that you all entered in the Sketch Challenge #7 at Christmas Challenges with Sketches.
We got some great feedback from some of you and the team talked about it and came to the choice to change a little in our prizes.From this challenge on we will have some little changes that you can read about at the blog!

I'm finally can tell you all some good news... a few weeks ago I was asked if I was interested in becoming a design team member for Inky ImpressionsI love the images and I was so happy an honored with this request and I gladly accepted my place.

My Mom and Dad had there 52 Wedding Anniversary last Thursday.Can you imagine that.... 52 year of marriage... all the ups and downs, still in love with each other and ready for another lots of years.
I made this lovely card for them

Back to school...

I just can't help myself anymore... I'm totally fallen in love for the digital images of A day for daisies!Really smitten on them.... they are so sweet and touching.... so when I saw that we at Totally Papercraft Challenge are having a Back to School theme for the challenge this week...I knew this little guy was perfect for it.He's called "I can read"

I colored the little guy with my pencils again. I don't use odorless terpentine of babyoil...

just keep adding layers of lots of different colors to get to this kind of coloring..
